Two Mumbai Police constables surrendered to Covid-19 on Wednesday, incurring significant damage for the city police power to 10.
The police recognized the constables as Ganesh Chaudhary from Parksite police headquarters and Dhivsen Pingale from the traffic division.
ACP (Vikhroli division) Vilas Kanade stated, “Ganesh Chaudhary had been on leave throughout the previous 10 days. After he began experiencing fever and shortness of breath, he experienced a Covid-19 test, which affirmed that he was tainted.” Chaudhary was conceded at Seven Hills emergency clinic eight days back. “As he was additionally experiencing diabetes, his invulnerability framework couldn’t battle the infection,” said an official.
Pingale, who was posted at the traffic office, created indications on May 6, after which he experienced a test. “After he tried positive, he was admitted to Trauma Care emergency clinic in Jogeshwari,” said an official. On May 10, he was moved to Seven Hills medical clinic, where he kicked the bucket.
Up until now, 699 Mumbai police staff have tried positive, with 93 of them recouping. Other than the 10 in Mumbai Police, 14 faculty from the state police have surrendered to the infection.
